The L&T Flexi Bond Fund aims to give investors a higher income than cash accounts, with far less volatility than equities. The fund's portfolio combines corporate bonds, government bonds and other fixed-income securities. The fundís duration is actively managed with the intention of capitalising on opportunities in falling interest rate scenario and reducing downside risk during rising interest rate scenario. The Fund has also been assigned Credit Risk Rating of mfAAA* by ICRA. If you have surplus cash or if you have set aside some money - say for the family's annual holiday - it is the higher-income option to a cash account.
